Product Overview

We are constantly working on expanding our diverse product portfolio to meet the needs of today's drug developers.

Below are shown the structures of our products with a brief description. Additional information such as applications and/or references can be obtained by downloading or viewing our current catalogue. Please note that our catalogue contains only our commercially available products. We develop and produce many derivatives of our products as part of our R&D and/or custom synthesis services.

Indole-based azepinones, Quinolines, Benzodiazepine-diones

Our indole-based azepinones form an attractive class of products since they can be viewed as conformationally constrained analogues of dipeptides such as Trp-Phe, Trp-Gly, Trp-Ala etc... We have the technology and know-how to make many other derivatives.

We produce a number of substituted quinolines, as well as a number of pyrolidine, azido-pyrrolidine and tetrahydro-isoquinoline-based benzodiazepine-diones. We offer further substitued analogues of these molecules as part of our R&D services.

9-Arylsulfonyl-beta-carbolines, Proline sulfonamides, Alpha-substituted proline analogues

Our 9-arylsulfonyl-tetrahydro-beta-carbolines can be viewed as constrained tryptophan analogues with an additional arylsulfonyl moiety attached to them. These molecules form interesting templates that can be further populated with functional groups. Ask for our R&D services if you require compound collections based on this template.

We produce a number of L- and D-proline sulfonamides, which serve as building blocks in drug synthesis. In addition to these proline-sulfonamides, we also produce a number of alpha-substituted proline analogues.

BioConjugation tools, Pyroglutamates and Benzimidazoles

We offer bioconugation tools such as maleimido-acetic acid (MAA), maleimido-propionic acid (MPA), and maleimido-caproic acid (MCA) which we produce up to Kg scale. Additional products (NHS esters, pegylated analogues) are currently under development.

Our pyroglutamates mainly consist of trans-4-substituted pyroglutamates (benzyl or naphthylmethyl-substituted).

Benzimidazoles constitute an important class of heterocyclic compounds that possess a wide spectrum of biological activities. While we do not offer any commercial products at this moment, we do make benzimidazoles available as part of our R&D and custom synthesis services.

Amino-caprolactams, 2-arylsulfonyl-beta-carbolines, gamma-substituted prolines

Our amino-caprolactams are substituted at the primary amino moiety or at the amide-moiety. These caprolactam can be used as constrained dipeptides, or as building blocks for further drug synthesis.

The 2-arylsulfonyl-substituted tetrahydro-beta-carbolines form an interesting class of compounds that can be used as small-molecule inhibitors, or as building blocks for further drug synthesis.

Finally, to conclude this Product Overview, we'd like to re-introduce our gamma-substituted proline analogues (R = benzyl, naphthylmethyl). BioQuadrant was a pioneer in the field of substituted proline analogues, and brought many such proline analogues to market as off 2002. Many catalog houses have since then copied our product offering, indicating a growing interest and demand for such products. We have had the pleasure of distributing these products to clients world-wide.

Availability: Many of our products (building blocks) are commercially available directly through BioQuadrant. Our products are also included in the MDL database of Available Chemicals. We keep most of our best-selling products in stock but regularly re-evaluate the pertinence of keeping some products in stock. Products with limited chemical stability are usually prepared on-demand. Products that are out of stock can usually be re-synthesized in two weeks.
